Logwin: remove diesel engine, fit in electrical drive axle

Together with their innovation partners BPW Bergische Achsen, FZP Fahrzeugbedarf, and the specialty vehicle experts at Paul Nutzfahrzeuge, Logwin developed a new sustainability concept, which focuses on retrofitting existing diesel-driven vehicles with electric drive axels and high-performance batteries.

After a test- and optimization phase, a first up-cycled vehicle has been successfully deployed at Logwin within the scope of Vienna city logistics. The experience in the first months of operation have been very positive: “To date, there have been no failures. The up-cycled vehicle flows reliably and silently through the city center of Vienna, and with the kilometers driven, even exceeds our expectations” said Franz Bräuer, branch manager of the Logwin locations Traiskirchen and Vienna.

Given these positive results of the first practical tests, the e-Transporter was presented to a broad audience at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg from September 28th to 29th, together with the e-cargo bicycles also used by Logwin at the Krone E-Mobility Play Days. The interest in these sustainable and at the same time extremely pragmatic transport solutions was very high in Spielberg.
