Militzer & Münch Uzbekistan specializes in pharma transports

In the course of the last two years, M&M Uzbekistan has successfully specialized in the transport of pharmaceutical products. The majority of the pharmaceutical products are medicines such as antibiotics, antihistamines, antiviral medication, sedative oral syrups, and creams. M&M Uzbekistan directly picks up the goods from the suppliers’ warehouses.

Transporting pharma products requires special conditions. “We need to guarantee end-to-end temperature-controlled storage and transport; the cool chain must not break. And of course, the perishable goods have to be handled with care, so we have to strictly comply with the standard procedures,” explains Olga Quylieva, who is responsible for this special segment. “Naturally, we cooperate with carriers that reliably meet these requirements.”

Militzer & Münch offers worldwide air and sea freight services as well as road and rail transports and project logistics along the East-West axis in Eurasia and North Africa. The Group employs a staff of about 2,000 and operates with a dense network of branch offices in Eastern Europe, the CIS, the Middle East and the Far East and in the Maghreb countries. The head office of the company that goes back to 1880 is in Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. Turnover in 2016 was EUR 517 million.
