Newlands Developments plans 900,000 sq ft warehouse scheme in Northampton

Newlands Developments has secured outline planning for up to 900,000 sq ft of warehouse space on the former Howdens Joinery site on Liliput Lane, Brackmills in Northamptonshire.

The council gave its go ahead last week for the existing buildings to be demolished and redeveloped to provide new warehouse facilities constructed to BREEAM Very Good standard.

Known as Brackmills Gateway, the scheme could provide up to 900 jobs. There are two options for the site being marketed: one for a single occupier with a cross dock warehouse of 894,000 sq ft with 126 dock and four level access doors incorporating 96 HGV and 527 car paring spaces and a further option of three individual warehouse units ranging in size from 126,850 sq ft to 427,370 sq ft.

The scheme is being brought forward jointly by Newlands and M&G Real Estate. Joint agents are Burbage Realty and Savills.
