Over 500,000 full truckloads at Waberer’s Group in 2014

Waberer’s International consolidated revenues in 2014 close to EUR 500 million in 2014; its EBITDA reached EUR 73.4 million for the same period

Budapest headquartered Waberer’s International Zrt. (“Waberer´s”) has had another strong year in 2014. While revenues increased by 9.7% in 2014 as compared to 2013, the growth of the headcount remained below 3% and total fuel consumption decreased by 2.5% during 2014 as compared to 2013. The Group continued its growth in 2014 through the expansion of its subsidiary network in Western Europe, the investment in 1,300 new truck-trailers and the hiring of nearly 500 additional drivers.

Waberer´s Group´s annual turnover amounted to EUR 496.2 million in 2014, and its EBITDA reached EUR 73.4 million for the same period. The EBIDTA margin of 14.8% in 2014 was accompanied by an improvement of the most important operational efficiency KPIs.

In 2014, Waberer’s Group fleet completed 525 million kilometres on the road in Europe, an almost 10% increase as compared to 2013. The volume capacity of the recently acquired new Mega trailers of Waberer’s Group is 5% higher than that of the previously used models. Together with a further improved loaded ratio of 91% this contributed to the increased freight volume in 2014.

In 2014, Waberer’s Group has significantly increased the number of full truckloads (FTLs), reaching over 500,000 FTLs, while the total number of commissions – including spot deals – reached almost 2 million annually. It has continued to focus on the cost-effective, long-haul transportation of pallet goods in 2014.

Hungary, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and Spain remained the most important markets. Consignments with destination of origin in Italy enjoyed the highest revenue growth in 2014 as compared to other geographical regions where Waberer’s Group operates. Revenues also grew by double digits in, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom and Spain in 2014.
