Pharma Logistik Austria moving to Wels-West

Richter Pharma AG generated sales of EUR 591 million (+7.6% on the previous year) with 427 employees at three locations in Wels, Upper Austria, and in the branch in Groß Enzersdorf near Vienna. The wholly owned subsidiary Pharma Logistik Austria generated sales of EUR 360 million.

On January 1, 2018, a new location for Pharma Logistik Austria in Jasminstraße in Wels was leased, thereby initiating the first part of the “ri-space” site project, which was a project spanning across all business units. The relocation of Pharma Logistik Austria to the new site in Wels-West will allow Richter Pharma to use the current building for other purposes.

“The adaptation of the new logistics center is the most important project for us in 2018. We quadruple our capacity in Wels and can create up to 50 new jobs in the medium term”, affirms Mag. Pharm. Florian Fritsch, owner and chairman of the supervisory board of Richter Pharma AG.

The terminal (built in 2012) covers a total area of around 17,000 m², of which 8,152 m² are covered warehouse space and 1,322 m² office space. The facility shall start operations by the end of 2018. The customer service will move into the new premises by mid-2018.

An investment of this magnitude is possible because Pharma Logistik Austria has developed extremely positively since its founding in 2006 and was able to increase its sales again in 2017. The company implements tailor-made logistics solutions and services for and with the pharmaceutical industry. The future can not be seen in pure logistics, but in providing the entire pharmaceutical know-how.
