Planning submitted for new warehouse in Knowsley

EQT Exeter has submitted a planning application for a new 442,000ft² high-quality logistics facility to replace an existing building in Knowsley, Merseyside.

The plans would see the redevelopment of Deacon Park, a multi-occupied existing building, which is located on Moorgate Road North. EQT Exeter acquired the site in 2021 and has since been engaging with the existing tenants to agree on a phased exit.

The new facility is being designed by UMC Architects with Gerald Eve acting as planning consultants. DTRE and CBRE are joint letting agents for the scheme.

Elsewhere in Knowsley, EQT Exeter is bringing forward a 120,000ft² unit at Imagination, which is due to reach practical completion in Q1 next year. In a separate project, EQT Exeter is working with Liberty Properties on the development of a 200,000 ft² facility in Widnes which is due to finish this July.

Speaking about company’s development activity, Paul Chatterjee, Director of Development and Leasing at EQT Exeter, commented: “This is an exciting opportunity to bring a building of this size to the market. There still remains a lack of supply in the North West industrial property market and we’re seeing high occupier demand for our existing buildings across the region.”
