REAMIT Project Manager to speak at Logistics Manager’s Sustainable Supply Chain Conference

Katarzyna Pelc, a Project Manager of the European territorial co-operation project REAMIT co-funded by Interreg North West Europe Programme, will be speaking at Logistics Manager’s Sustainable Supply Chain Conference in London on 10 May 2023.

REAMIT focuses on adapting and applying existing innovative technology to reduce food waste in supply chains in parts of Europe.

Pelc will explain the project and how modern digital technologies can help reduce waste in food logistics. Her presentation will cover what and how new digital technologies can provide opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability in supply chains.

In her current role, she supports project Principal Investigators and a transnational consortium in the daily implementation of the project. In her previous roles, she assisted with designing EU-level policy and operational guidelines for Interreg, implementation of Interreg programmes and projects, and developing research and commercial bids ranging from €50,000 to €5 million for British, EU, and international funders.

She is working towards obtaining a PhD qualification. Her research interests include institutional entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, and technological innovations in food supply chains.

The conference is a one-day face-to-face event which highlights the untapped opportunity of supply chain decarbonisation in international climate action while also covering how having sustainability at the very core of businesses and their strategies can influence the bottom line.

The event offers attendees a total of five CPD hours – accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – to keep up with their professional development, as well as invaluable insight from experts in the world of supply chain sustainability and networking opportunities.
