Rhenus Home Delivery set to expand operations

Rhenus Home Delivery UK is set to open a new central distribution centre in Lutterworth, Midlands, in spring 2022.

The site will support the company’s growth with the additional depot.

Formerly hosting Costco and Wayfair, the new location which is named Hurricane 258, has a long-standing history in furniture distribution, and is a ‘significant’ investment for Rhenus Home Delivery UK.

The 258,000ft2 site is located in Magna Park, where the Rhenus Group already operates four dedicated warehouses. The site is undergoing extensive refurbishment and will support Rhenus Home Delivery’s expansion of its services, including next day and just in time delivery.

“This step forward [will allow]us to significantly grow our client base and service offering. In fact, it will change the way the business operates, as it transitions to a hub and spoke model, allowing us to expand our services”, said Vinny Riley, Managing Director, Rhenus Home Delivery UK.
