Rock-It Global opens up London facility

International events logistics provider Rock-It Global has opened up a dedicated facility at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Rock-it Global, which is part of Global Critical Logistics (GCL), has opened a 15,000ft2 dedicated facility at Heathrow Airport, which offers 13,314 cubic ft of caged secure storage space, as well as rack space for 300 pallet positions for long-term storage and our merchandise.

The company has also invested in an X-ray machine for onsite screening and installed an Explosive Trace Detector (ETD) machine for cargo too dense for the X-ray, which avoids the need to rely on a third-party off-site provider.

“We will be screening cargo in-house with our own equipment operated by our own trained team so that we can offer 24-hour support with no pre-booking required,” said Chris Palmer, co-Managing Director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Rock-It Global.

Rock-It Global along with the other logistics specialists of GCL, provides logistics and freight forwarding services for the live entertainment and music touring, fine arts, sports and broadcasting, corporate events, film and television, power projects, and humanitarian relief sectors.

“We are looking to the future with a new look, new facilities, and continued expansion of Rock-it/GCL offices throughout the world and we are ready to put our unique insight and our energy to work for customers all over the world,” added Paul J. Martins, President and CEO of Rock-It Global and GCL.
