Roland Spedition get Christian Mayer on board
On 1 August 2017, Roland Spedition, private Austrian container operator, appointed Christian Mayer Head of Operations. The new member of the management board has many years of experience in the segments of container shipping, forwarding and operating. Most recently, he held a senior management position at China Cosco Shipping in Vienna.
In addition to the operative management, together with the managing directors Christian Gutjahr and Mag. Nikolaus Hirnschall, Christian Mayer will further improve the areas of quality and process management to able to ideally meet the growing customer requirements.
Roland Spedition – the quality service provider “in the heart of Europe” – celebrate their 35th anniversary this year. As an operating specialist, the company scores with its own trains on the most important routes to and from Austria. In 2016, the 45 employees at the company headquarters in Schwechat near Vienna and at the branch in Salzburg disposed about 150,000 TEUs, which according to their own data makes them the largest private and independent container operator in Austria.
