Scaletronic announces addition of Quickcube DWS system to IntraLogisteX stand

Earlier this year, Scaletronic revealed that it would be showcasing its dynamic data capture and parcel sortation solutions at IntraLogisteX 2023 on 28-29 March; now it has announced that it will also be showcasing its Quickcube dimensioning, weighing, and scanning (DWS) system at the show.

According to Scaletronic, Quickcube uses advanced laser technology to accurately measure the volume of a package or shipment, which is then combined with the weight of the shipment to determine its dimensional weight. This data can then be used to optimise shipping operations and packaging usage as well as reduce picking errors.

With the addition of a wheeled trolley and battery pack, the system can be made mobile, freeing it from the restraints of being in a fixed position. This increased mobility has the potential to improve efficiency and productivity within shipping operations.

Scaletronic believes that Quickcube is ideal for capturing accurate master data for new stock keeping units (SKUs) entering a warehouse. It says that ‘by providing precise data on package dimensions, weight, and SKU number, Quickcube can help ensure that inventory levels are accurately tracked and shipments are properly managed’.

Quickcube can capture standard product images with its small in-built camera or can be paired with an SLR camera for high-resolution product images.

IntraLogisteX 2023 will be taking place at the NEC, Birmingham on 28-29 March. The 2023 event is by far the biggest one yet, taking place for the first time under the same roof as Robotics and Automation –the UK’s largest dedicated robotics and automation exhibition.
