Schachinger Logistik appointing new Managing Director

The management board of Schachinger Logistik Holding GmbH, headquartered in Hörsching near Linz, has a new set-up. Rainer Sandow succeeds Benjamin Büscher, who left the company that is specialising on industry logistics.  Peter Overkamp will still hold the position of the CFO, as reads the company’s updated website.

Rainer Sandow’s career:

After a commercial training he was holding various leading positions in forwarding, transport, throughput/warehousing and project logistics companies.

-) 1995-1998 Managing Director Continental Europe, for US logistics group Ryder Systems (US / Germany)

-) 1999 Executive Board Member, Kuehne + Nagel Management AG (CH)

-) 2000-2003 Executive Vice President Europe Holding of the US group GATX Capital/Rail (CH)

-) 2008-2011 Executive Board Member, CHEP EMEA Holding (UK / Germany)

-) Since 2004 he had been successful as interim manager in various top management positions

The Management Board for the respective industries is composed of: Gerald Mayrwöger for the areas of automotive, construction logistics and the Cargomax branch office, Roland Glöckl for Techlog, DPD and x-commerce, as well as Franz Haiden for brands & freshness.

Majority owner Maximilian Schachinger III is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Schachinger Logistik. The further Members of the Advisory Board are Klaus Rinnerberger, Kurt Kaun and Ms Ulla Reisch.

After a very difficult financial year 2015/16, in May the Schachinger Logistik Group was able to report a positive annual result for 2016/17 (31st March). “The turnaround has been successful, the figures have improved significantly, and the equity ratio has also been substantially increased,” read a press release.
