SEGRO goes for multi-storey warehouse development in Dagenham

The 109,016ft2 facility will be on the 4.65-acre site known as Plot 3 at SEGRO Park Dagenham and will divided into two units of 42,732ft2 on ground and first-floor level. It will be built to BREEAM ‘Excellent’.

The unit will have an eaves height of 28m. The council noted, “The height of the proposed development is significant for an industrial scheme, however this type of stacked industrial development is encouraged as it optimises the size of the site, enabling industrial intensification that would otherwise not be possible on a single storey level.”

It was unanimously approved by the planning committee.

SEGRO Park Dagenham Plot 3 is contained within the East Plus regeneration programme being delivered in partnership with SEGRO and the Greater London Authority. The East Plus scheme aims to deliver up to 7,000 new jobs and 1.4 million ft2 of commercial space across sites in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Newham.
