Sequrity Sicherheitstechnisches Zentrum GmbH starts on 1 September
Sequrity Sicherheitstechnisches Zentrum GmbH is an independent validation point for „defined shippers“ of air freight consignments:
Sequrity Sicherheitstechnisches Zentrum GmbH with ist headquarters in Begheim near Salzburg was charged by the Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Infrastruktur und Technologie (bmvit) to act as the only Austrian validation point for air freight consignments. It will start on 1 September 2011, the contract was signed with indetermined duration. The background therefore are the EU regulations by the European Parliament and Council (300/2008 with 185/2010). The thereby defined shippers, which will be validated by this independent organisation, will keep their status for five years.
After reception of the security certificate and entry into the EU database by the Sequrity company the validated enterprise can ship secure aif freight consignments across the European Union. About 3,000 companies might be such defined shippers. These companies may be validated before the end of April 2013, and ship their parcels without screening. From 1 September 2011 the formular will be available at www.sequrity.at. The costs depend on the number of locations of the defined shipper that need to be validated. In total eleven steps including training and security check are necessary to complete the validation successfully. The validation process takes about eight weeks. As Sequrity ist he only validation point in Austria, managing director Wilhelm Schicho recommends an early start of the process.
Sequrity Sicherheitstechnisches Zentrum GmbH is a security technology centre that is confirmed by the authorities for Austria and Germany.
