SETG growing to EUR 65 million in annual sales
Salzburger Eisenbahn Transportlogistik GmbH (SETG) has extended its fleet of four-axle rounding wagons of the type Snps-XL by another set consisting of 25 units. This is the fourth series since the first units were added in 2005. With a loading length of 22 meters and a payload of up to 65 tonnes as well as a sophisticated stanchion system for flexible loading of different lengths of wood, according to SETG the type of car is the most economical roundwood freight car in Europe.
Container block train services additionally commissioned since 1 January 2019 are being handled with the new type Sggnss wagons, which permit the loading of two 40′ heavy containers on a 4-axle wagon. Also the locomotive fleet was increased: two twin-engine locomotives BR 187 (high-performance electric locomotive with diesel module) strengthen the fleet of SETG, now grown on 42 locomotives.
SETG offers tailor-made block train solutions for the wood, chemicals, vehicles, paper/pulp, steel, combined cargo and agricultural products sectors, characterised by predictability, punctuality, flexible and short-term implementation of customer orders. In 2018, the company transported 4.5 million tonnes of goods and, with 105 employees, achieved sales of around EUR 65 million.
