South Yorkshire speculative MidBox scheme gains consent

Detailed planning consent has been granted for Trebor Developments and partner, Hillwood to speculatively develop a two-unit warehouse scheme at the Doncaster Sheffield airport site in South Yorkshire.

The units are 45,876 and 59,159 sq ft and works will start on site in November for delivery in in the second quarter of 2020.

The partnership agreed terms with Peel Investments earlier this year to acquire the site. This is the second detailed planning consent under consideration by Trebor in Doncaster, with Gateway 4, totalling 409,000 sq ft, having been submitted to the same planning authority.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor, said: “Another detailed consent allowing us to deliver quality, cost-effective accommodation to the Yorkshire market. We will shortly be on site delivering these excellent units, which we believe will be attractive to a range of occupiers. We will be delivering in excess of 600,000 sq ft of industrial speculative accommodation in Yorkshire over the next 12 months, with potential for this to expand much further as new sites come forward.”

Trebor/Hillwood are represented by CPP and Knight Frank.
