TNT finance chief to step down

Bernard Bot, the chief financial officer of TNT Express, is to leave the business.

Bot became interim chief executive of the group in September 2012 following the resignation of  Marie Christine Lombard. He reverted to the CFO role in June last year when Tex Gunning came in as the new chief executive officer.

Antony Burgmans, chairman of the supervisory board,, said: “Bernard played an important role in the development of TNT Express. He built a strong global finance organisation and initiated the turnaround of the company through the Deliver! programme. For this, he deserves our gratitude and we wish Bernard all the best for the future.”

The company has started a search for a successor. Bot’s leaving date has yet to be agreed.
