Turkish Airlines launches new service to Graz

Graz airport flashlight: Turkish Airlines‘ Airbus A319 to fly four times weekly on the Graz-Istanbul route effective from 22 June 2015

Styria’s economy can now benefit from a new flight connection offering the fastest way to Istanbul, as well as further connections from there to the Middle and Far East or Africa. The new route will be operated four times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with departure at 3.40 pm from Styria’s capital Graz.

„The successful agreement with Turkish Airlines following two years of intensive negotiations means a milestone for Styria. Comprehensive accessibility is essential for a business location. The direct connection to the Istanbul hub opens a gate to new markets. This will be a benefit for export-oriented Styrian companies and as a result, also for numerous suppliers,“ says Dr. Christian Buchmann, Provincial Councilor.

Yusuf Kurt, General Manager Turkish Airlines: „Following Vienna and Salzburg in Austria, we open the third destination in Graz and continue our course of growth. The Graz flights gives our guests the opportunity to take off directly from beautiful Styria. “
