Unconventional carriage from Linz to Mladá Boleslav
The holiday shutdown of the Škoda Auto a.s. factory also usually means a holiday for its suppliers. However, due to the lack of loading space, a block train with coils was dispatched from Linz during this year’s holiday period, which was transported to Mladá Boleslav on the Preymesser siding, using the route diversion via Bakov nad Jizerou with a reversal point in Dolní Bousov. The train arrived at its destination on July 19, 2017.
This line is only used on a regular basis for trains in case of a block between the two stations in Mladá Boleslav, and will be used again next summer, when the duration of the block will be longer than the holiday shutdown of the Škoda Auto facotry.
