VTG launches rail logistics company in Lithuania

What was previously VTG Project Logistics, has begun now offering a complete portfolio of services under the name VTG Rail Logistics Baltics UAB.

A motivator for the opening was Lithuania’s accessibility for logistics services in the Scandinavian region.

Additionally, the new location has access to the Baltic Sea region via the port cities of Klaipeda, Riga and Tallin (Muuga).

VTG Rail Logistics Baltics is a full-service rail forwarder with an international reach. The company believes that integrating this new facility in its existing pan-European network will allow VTG to optimise and ‘harmonise’ its national and cross-border leasing and rail logistics activities in the Baltic region.

“Our r2L solution (‘roadrailLink’) increases the proportion of craneable semitrailers from five to 95 percent. Even trailers carrying refrigerated goods, liquids and fuels can make use of this innovation”, said Paweł Solich, Head of Region North-East at VTG Rail Europe.
