Walker to develop staff skills

Walker Logistics is to develop staff skills by launching a ‘People Development Plan’ in partnership with Newbury College. The scheme involves staff from a range of departments, which will be asked questions in a series of consultation sessions.

Based on the feedback from the consultations, bespoke workshops will be created by Newbury College.

“In the face of increasing customer demands, we recognise the importance of providing every member of our workforce with the knowledge, skills and confidence to carry out their role and the ‘People Development Plan’ delivered by Newbury College is part of the on-going process to support our team in their work,” said managing director Bob Montague.
