Work starts on Pratt’s London Gateway DC

Construction work has started on SH Pratt Group’s multi-temperature product handling facility at DP World London Gateway which is due for completion in the third quarter of 2018.

Pratt, the fruit importer and ripener, is establishing Halo, a new business to the group, which will be based at the 108,555 sq ft bespoke building.

Halo will operate the port’s first temperature-controlled, chilled and frozen supply chain centre, handling multi-temperature products, before distributing them to the UK consumer market.

Pratt chief executive Robert Wells said: “This will be a state-of-the-art, fully accredited, fully-focussed facility which, coupled with SH Pratt Group’s expertise, will deliver beyond the expectations of our customers.”
