DS Smith invests £12m in packaging line

DS Smith’s UK Packaging Division has invested £12 million in its Sheetfeeding business at Blunham replacing existing machinery with a new 2.8m corrugator, installing high-tech materials handling lines and refurbishing the premises.

“Not only do we want to invest in the very latest technology and working practices, we want to ensure DS Smith’s proposition is future-proof as our customers’ requirements evolve,” said Adrian Swindells, Sheetfeeding managing director for DS Smith.

And Gareth Jenkins, managing director of DS Smith’s Packaging Division, said: “With this investment in the latest corrugator and materials handling equipment, we take another step in our £100m UK investment programme.”
