Improvement in East-West traffic with Gebrüder Weiss Tyrol

Gebrüder Weiss invests 4 Million Euros in its location Hall/Tyrol into a state-of-the art and energy-efficient logistics terminal and promotes Alpine transit by rail.

Since the beginning of August, the new terminal in Hall/Tyrol has offered 130.000 sqm of warehousing and 1.000 sqm of handling space and provides enough space for 5.000 pallets. The location in Hall is the ideal hub for the transports of goods between Tyrol, Germany and Switzerland. They have their own rail connection and service the Orange Combi Cargo on the East-West route and the transports going to Italy also benefit from the railway.

With the construction of Austria’s first climate-neutral logistics warehouse in Wörgl the company substantiates their claim towards a sustainable generation of added value. The sustainability concept is also important for the new Terminal in Hall which was equipped with energy-efficient lighting-systems and thermal groundwater heating. “Thanks to the new warehousing capacities  we can react to last-minute customer inquiries much fast and in a more flexible way”, sags Hannes Mayr, location manager Hall for Gebrüder Weiss.
