Emirates Airline’s Airbus A380 landed once in Vienna on 26 May; daily air freight capacity of 45 tonnes on the regular service ex Austria

The first and so far last landing of an Airbus A380 passenger aircraft at the Vienna International Airport became an event of superlatives. The jet landed on the evening of 26 May in Vienna. The background of this special flight was the 10th jubilee of the start of the regular flights between Dubai and Vienna operated by the international airline of the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates Airline currently covers the Vienna route with 13 weekly services. As aircraft they use Boeing 777 passenger jets, with a belly hold of 22.5 tonnes ex Austria. Marketing of the freight capacity in Austria lies in the hands of the team of five, headed by Rene Patek. The hub in Dubai offers forwarding options to destinations in Africa, Asia and Australia.
