Newssolutions to distribute Archant weekly titles in London

Newspaper publisher Archant has chosen Newssolutions to distribute 14 of its London weekly newspaper publications.

From 31st August, the portfolio, including titles such as the Romford Recorder, Ham & High and Ilford Recorder, will be distributed to independent and multiple retailers within the M25.

Newssolutions was set up by News UK, publisher of The Sun and The Times, last year to offer distribution services to other companies.

Darren Barker, logistics director for Newssolutions, said: This is an important addition to our retail portfolio and provides added value to retailers within our network.

News UK’s logistics team, in conjunction with Telegraph Media Group delivers 4 million newspapers to 55,000 outlets in the UK and Southern Ireland, and to more than 16,000 homes in London.

As well as distribution through the traditional wholesale route, News UK also distributes direct to over 6,000 retailers in the London area every day and offers a direct to customer service to readers of The Times and The Sunday Times, with over 40,000 deliveries made to customers homes in London every week.
