Amber Road enables Geodis to achieve complete compliance

Amber Road, a leading provider of Global Trade Management (GTM) solutions, has won Geodis as a customer. The enterprise, a company of SCNF Logistics will use Amber Road’s Export On-Demand solution to review its business partners. The aim is complete compliance with worldwide sanctions and embargo lists.

By using the sanction list module of Export On-Demand, the sanction check at Geodis will be completely digitalised in the future. Several partial and isolated solutions thus become superfluous, and will be replaced by a holistic system that covers all global business processes.

The most important reason for this decision at Geodis was: Amber Road provides the most comprehensive compliance database on a daily basis available on the market, with access to 570 sanction and embargo lists of international authorities.

Implementation in the individual business segments is carried out in several stages. Geodis focuses on the examination of prioritised transactions and partners. Later on also new business partners will be added to the process.

“By strengthening our compliance system, we can continue to grow with a clear conscience. This protects us from risky business and we can always prove our compliance with export regulations to our customers,” explains Bruno Beauvillier, Head of Customs and Export Control at Geodis.

“In the 3PL industry, we can see a growing trend towards comprehensive global trade management solutions as they provide the best support to growth and development of new markets,” said Amun Road CEO Jim Preuninger.
