Fairchild Semiconductor: export compliance solution from Amber Road eases exports and allows faster dispatch

Fairchield Semiconductor, a global acting power management semiconductor solutions provide,r is using Amber Road’s Trade Automation solution to remain compliant with country-specific trade regulations and to speed up pre-clear customs. In response to increasing shipping volumes and more geografic diversification the GTM-system is used in 13 countries such as the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, Sweden, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, China, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia.

Fairchild Semiconductor is shipping more than 14 billion units a year across 45 countries. Regarding compliance and customs Amber Road takes over country by country license determination, denied party checks, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and automatic generation of trade documents which include commercial invoices, shipper’s letter of instruction, exporter of record, country of origin, and packing lists.
