AMI TARGETS 50% ONLINE BOOKINGS IN 2009

Already 40% rate in online bookings reached in 2008

The UK arm of AMI – the world’s largest trade-only airfreight wholesaler – is celebrating a milestone in its business, with 40% of all cargo and Eurotrux bookings now being made online. The company is targeting 50% online bookings by the end of 2009.

In addition to making cargo bookings online, customers can view AMI’s latest rates, which are updated nightly, download own-branded tariffs in Excel format and check airline surcharges; special offers are also now shown. Customers who make spot rate enquiries can convert their quotation to a booking online by entering the reference number in the “special instructions” box. Customers can enter their account number at AMI’s tracking site, and view all recent jobs with their current status; clicking on any shipment brings up all its updates.

The AMI printed tariff gives full instructions on how to use AMI’s online booking facility.
