Armstrong Logistics takes Magna Park shed

Armstrong Logistics has taken an additional warehouse at Magna Park Lutterworth in order to satisfy growing demand within its contract with Aldi.

The 3PL is an approved UK logistics partner to Aldi, delivering around one third of the ambient goods on Aldi’s store shelves and working with over 100 of Aldi’s key suppliers.

It has taken XDOCK377, a 377,070 sq ft warehouse on a 15.5 year lease at £6.50 per sq ft from landlord UK Commercial Property REIT, which is managed and advised by Aberdeen Standard Investments.

The property was previously occupied by Argos and has undergone a £7m plus refurbishment which included a full refurbishment of the office space including full LED lighting and high-efficiency heating, ventilation and cooling. The EPC rating improved to a B as a result of the works, future-proofing the asset against expected tightening of energy performance regulations over the next decade.

The landlord was advised by CBRE, Savills and Burbage Realty.

Last month Aldi secured planning permission for a 1.3 million sq ft national distribution centre in South Bardon, Leicestershire.
