ASL Aviation finalises Safair acquisition

ASL Aviation Group has finalised the acquisition of Safair from Dublin-based Aergo Capital. The deal covers three Irish entities: Safair Operations, Safair Lease Finance and three ATR72-500 aircraft.

This acquisition enhances ASL’s three prime service lines by adding Safair Operations to its air transport arm; providing a further spares holding and interest in Jetworx to ASL’s support businesses, and including prime new generation aircraft to ASL’s leasing portfolio.

A joint venture between CMB and 3P Air Freighters, Ireland-based ASL Aviation Group provides a range of aviation services to a mainly European customer base. The company specialises in the air transportation of cargo and passengers, aviation spares support and maintenance and aircraft leasing services.

The ASL fleet now comprises about ninety aircraft.

Aergo Capital now owns thirty commercial aircraft placed on dry leases with operators across the world and manages approximately thirty aircraft on behalf of third parties.
