Günther Hörbst to succeed Uwe Will as Managing Director of both Bremen port institutions from next year

 In a joint press release the Bremische Hafenvertretung e.V. (BHV) and VIA Bremen Foundation announced a change in their management boards.Günther Hörbst was appointed the new Managing Director of Bremische Hafenvertretung and VIA Bremen Foundation, as it was decided by the competent boards of both institutions. Effective April 1 and Juli 1, 2016 Hörbst will succeed Uwe Will, who in turn will take his well-deserved retirement. With Günther Hörbst BHV and VIA Bremen see good opportunities for a dynamic and visible development of VIA Bremen as a brand. For his new tasks, Mr. Hörbst brings experience from his positions as editor in chief of the German transport magazine Deutsche Verkehrszeitung DVZ, and his previous position as Head of the economic department of the newspaper Weser Kurier. He has profound knowledge of the logistics and the transport industry. We are convinced Günther Hörbst is the right person for these important positions in the port and logistics industry; he will add impetus to the external and internal representation of the federal state of Bremen as a location for logistics, also on an international level“, says Hans-Joachim Schnitger, President of BHV and Member of the committee of the VIA Bremen Foundation.
