AutoStore and DHL expand warehouse robotics partnership
A new automated fulfilment centre for sports retailer New Balance has opened in Taiwan.
The site was delivered by logistics provider Kerry TJ logistics, with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from Geek+ now in operation at the site.
A spokesperson for the logistics firm said: “In our pursuit of advancing smart green logistics, we’ve teamed up with Geek+.
“Leveraging technology, we aim to enhance work conditions and offer our global clients like New Balance innovative, top-tier services.”

Robots deployed at the site can reportedly work in a dark warehouse, which the two companies have said will significantly cut down on energy usage and reduce the overall carbon footprint of the site.
The pair have previously collaborated on other fulfilment centres, with Geek+’s shelf-to-person solution including features such as heatmap analysis and inventory rearrangement according to frequently picked items.
According to the company, this leads to increased site efficiency due to a simplified picking process, thus reducing training time to ‘less than an hour’ and limiting labour intensity.
By combining robotics with logistics expertise, Kerry TJ Logistics hopes to deliver sustainable and scalable solutions for warehouse and supply-chain management to help customers handle large volumes of stock and SKUs, while also meeting heightened delivery demands.
