Brightpoint announces third reverse logistics and repair centre in North America

Brightpoint, Inc., a global provider of supply chain solutions to the wireless industry, has announced that its subsidiary, Brightpoint North America has opened its third reverse logistics and repair centre.

The new facility, located in Plainfield, Indiana, encompasses more than 200,000 sq ft and will provide returns management, testing, diagnostics, repair and refurbishment, as well as asset recovery services to support the company’s growing reverse logistics and repair operations.

The centre complements the company’s existing facilities in Fort Worth, Texas and Puerto Rico, by increasing Brightpoint’s geographic reach.

"The addition of our third repair centre provides the infrastructure and geographic reach necessary to support our growing repair, remanufacture, and reverse logistics services offering," stated J. Mark Howell, Brightpoint’s President Americas. "Strategically positioning our new facility in close proximity to our forward logistics operations enables us to offer current and future customers more efficient repair cycle times and lower freight management costs."
