Bring your story to life at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2020

A Supply Chain Excellence Award winner, and judge for the 2020 ceremony, has called on supply chain professionals to ‘bring their supply chain excellence story to life’ and enter the Supply Chain Excellence Awards this year.

The call comes from George Munjas, supply chain director at Graze. In winning a Supply Chain Excellence Award last year, the judges described the healthy snacking brands’ capacity to respond to the huge peaks created by the retailers’ special promotions as supply chain excellence in practice.

Entries for the awards have been extended to 31 July, to give everyone the chance to showcase their achievements in this year of all years.

Munjas told Logistics Manager about judging entries for the awards, which takes place on 12 November at the London Hilton on Park Lane

Why did you choose to be a judge at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2020?

Munjas: “After putting graze forward for the 2019 Supply Chain Excellence Award for Demand Planning & Forecasting, I was invited to become a judge in 2020. It’s an honour to be able to help decide who the worthy winners of 2020 should be.”

What does supply chain excellence mean to you?

Munjas: “Supply Chain Excellence to me is about being at the pinnacle of the industry: doing something pioneering, doing something that nobody else is doing, achieving something extraordinary and there being a positive outcome to people, the planet and businesses as a result.”

What are you looking for in a winning entry?

Munjas: “I’m sure there will be many top contending entries, therefore for the winning entries I will be looking for who can bring their story to life the best so that we can appreciate the journey they’ve been on.”

Earlier this month Geek + joined Clipper Logistics, DP World and Unipart Logistics as a sponsor of the 24th Supply Chain Excellence Awards.

The 24th Supply Chain Excellence Awards, with new categories for 2020, will take place on 12 November. For more information, including how to enter and sponsorship opportunities, contact daniel.jessop@akabomedia.co.uk
