Clipper Logistics in “advanced discussions” with Arcadia over contract

Clipper Logistics has revealed it is in advanced discussions with Arcadia Group to agree a transportation contract for the retailers store delivery network.

While Clipper did not reveal which 3PL was managing the current contract, it did say that TUPE consultations were expected to “commence shortly” once an appropriate process is agreed between Clipper and the incumbent.

Clipper said that once finalised, this new contract would see it making nearly 3,000 deliveries per week. The operation is expected to commence from August 2020.

Executive Chairman Steve Parkin said: “Clipper has an enviable track record of developing solutions to meet the needs of retailers in a changing environment.  I am delighted to be working closely with Arcadia on this solution and in developing a longer term partnership.”
