D.Logistics AG with substantially improved operative result for 2008

The financial year 2008 had passed successfully for D.Logistics AG in Hofheim (Germany). Shareholders are paid a dividend fort he first time. According to the annual report the enterprise achieved an operative result of EUR 14.6 million, which equals an increase of 18.9 per cent compared to 2007. The net result amounted to EUR 11.5 million.

Turnover fell 0.3 per cent to EUR 336.8 million. This was mostly due to the 7.1%-decline in sales revenues of the consumer goods packaging segment to EUR 126.3 million. The Management attributes this trend to the losses in Belgium, Italy and the United States of America. The warehousing logistics segment generated a turnover of EUR 54.9 million (minus 2.5 per cent). The industrial goods packaging segment, which comprises also the companies of the Logis Group that have been acquired in 2007, showed a 7%-increase in revenues to EUR 155.4 million.

D.Logistics is the holding company of a company group that has 3,187 employees at 83 locations in Europe (also in Austria) and in the United States of America. Customer and project oriented services in the fields of industrial and consumer goods packaging as well as warehousing logistics are forming the core business. The group attends mainly to enterprises from the consumer goods, automotive, technical engineering, chemicals and air freight industry, such as ABB, Audi, Bosch, Chanel, Dürr, Ferrero, Lufthansa Cargo, P&G, Pfizer, Sanford and Siemens.
