DB Schenker Logistics offers new air freight routes connecting Europe and North America

DB Schenker Logistics is connecting Europe and North America with new air freight routes. Starting immediately, the logistics division of Deutsche Bahn is offering new freight flights from Luxemburg to Toronto and Chicago and back. The new Atlanta and Houston route will also be served from Luxemburg.

"Our new flights enable us to offer shippers secure capacity on interesting routes," says Thomas Mack, Senior Vice President Global Air Freight at Schenker AG. "We implement the complete chain from door to door, with precarriage and onward carriage through our integrated networks, via our Euro hub in Luxemburg and our network in North America."

Flights depart every Sunday from Luxemburg to Toronto and Chicago and every Wednesday and Saturday to Atlanta and Houston. The routes will use Boeing 777Fs with engines that consume less fuel. Direct flights mean fewer take-offs and landings, thus helping to reduce CO2 emissions.

Last year, DB Schenker Logistics introduced a new direct air freight connection between Amsterdam und Chicago departing every Wednesday and Saturday.
