DB Schenker “tracks“ the Ironman in Klagenfurt
Preparations for the Ironman which is to take place on July 2nd, 2017 are at fever pitch. Also this year, the athletes and organisers rely on the know-how and expertise of more than 100 DB Schenker employees. Logistics experts of DB Schenker from all over Austria will be there supporting the sports event and will deal especially with the full care of the over 3,000 athletes from more than 60 countries.
The DB Schenker team will distribute self-supply bags to the participants that have been individually put together by the athletes for the competition and given to DB Schenker in advance. An electronic tracking system will transmit the triathletes’ positions to the DB Schenker team so that the individual supply bags can be passed on to the athletes when they pass by. DB Schenker ist he only company worldwide to offer such a service.
