DHL buys Columbian 3PL

DHL Supply Chain has acquired Columbian logistics provider Suppla Group, which provides warehousing and packaging services across life sciences and healthcare, retail, consumer, and technology sectors.

“The expansion into the developing Andean region in South America, specifically in Colombia, is key to achieve our Strategy 2020 targets and allows us to unlock further growth potential,” said Javier Bilbao, chief executive of DHL Supply Chain Latin America.

Suppla has a presence in five regions and coverage of 25 cities of Colombia, about 500,000 sq m of storage capacity and around 4,500 employees.

* DHL is expanding its brand presence in the e-sports market with an official partnership with ESL which stages and markets e-sports leagues and events, including tournaments in the e-sports disciplines Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), StarCraft II and League of Legends.

In addition, ESL produces live streams of its e-sports tournaments and distributes them via all the major digital channels, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Twitch.
