DHL expands partnership with IDEXX Laboratories
Supply chain for the central IDEEX laboratory in the EMEA region in Leipzig now receives stronger support through the fast solutions of DHL Express
DHL Express has recently expanded its partnership with IDEXX Laboratories, a global leader in diagnostics and information technology solutions for animal health. In 2011, IDEXX charged DHL with time-critical deliveries to improve the supply chain in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Following successful pilot projects in Germany, Italy and Scancinavia, IDEXX recently extended the services to additional markets, including Denmark and the Netherlands.
The partnership mainly focuses on samples sent from veterinary practices to the IDEXX Leipzig laboratory, where reference laboratory specialists work on the diagnostic test results. The Leipzig laboratory, which serves as the company’s central diagnostic testing centre for the EMEA region, is situated in the vicinity of DHL’s main European air freight hub in Leipzig. IDEXX’s new location is designed to meet customers’ needs by enhancing the company’s service levels for its diagnostic tests as well as ensuring operational efficiency in the EMEA region.
