DHL invests in Global Forwarding business in Pakistan

DHL has announced an investment of US$9 million to strengthen its freight forwarding and supply chain operations in Pakistan.

The funds will go towards the upgrading of warehouses, fleet, offices, IT systems and employee training and development programs.

DHL Global Forwarding Pakistan has now opened a new 15,000 sq.ft. office building in the main business district (P.E.C.H.S), just 12km from the airport and 15km to the Karachi port.

According to Amadou Diallo, CEO, South Asia Pacific, DHL Global Forwarding, the company’s business in Pakistan has grown exponentially over the last few years.

In addition to air and ocean freight services and supply chain solutions, DHL Global Forwarding Pakistan provides a comprehensive range of value-added services for customers including in-house customs brokerage services; integrated domestic warehousing, inventory management and distribution solutions; spare part logistics; and records management services.
