EGSAC GSSA network now in Bangladesh

The EGSAC network of independent cargo GSSA companies has expanded into Bangladesh, with the appointment of Dhaka-based Air Galaxy Limited as its exclusive member.

Air Galaxy was launched in 2003 as part of the Galaxy Bangladesh Group, which has diverse interests including cargo and passenger airline representation, travel agency and tour operation, shipping and logistics, and insurance and financial services. Since it first began GSA operations in 1992, Galaxy Group has been appointed to represent Qatar Airways, United Airlines and Leisure Cargo’s portfolio of 19 airlines.

In addition, Air Galaxy has a B737-200QC under its own AOC, primarily serving Middle Eastern and regional destinations. The company also performs ad hoc freighter charters globally. Traffic for all freighter services is predominantly finished garments, textile products, express freight, leather goods and perishables. Air Galaxy has immediate plans to use its freighter services to interline with offline carriers, in order to expand its world coverage. EGSAC members are now present at over 65 locations in 32 countries.
