Panalpina has been appointed to handle Ericsson’s local distribution warehouse and site deliveries across the United Arab Emirates. Panalpina operates the 1,000 m2 warehouse located in the Dubai Investment Park. The service portfolio also includes customs clearance, pick & pack, as well as delivery to site, offloading by crane and reverse logistics. Panalpina guarantees 24/7 support. Delivery sites can be more than 2,000 telecom sites across the country with an emergency response time of four hours from order entry to on-site delivery. Panalpina says this business win is a major breakthrough for its supply chain management services in the Middle East. In combination with the previously awarded airfreight and ocean freight business, Panalpina offers a real end-to-end solution from manufacturing plants in Asia and Sweden up to the telecom sites located in rural areas or even off-road in the desert.
