FedEx completes acquisition of MultiPack

Following an agreement signed seven months ago, FedEx Express has completed the acquisition of Mexican domestic express package delivery company, MultiPack.

The acquisition of MultiPack (Servicios Nacionales Mupa) strengthens the FedEx network in Mexico, enabling FedEx to provide a wider range of domestic and international transportation and logistics solutions in the country.

FedEx has now started incorporating MultiPack’s existing operations and infrastructure into its network; full integration will be achieved in phases.

MultiPack’s existing operations include its pick-up and delivery network, warehousing and logistics services, 48 distribution centres, thirteen warehouses and more than 500 retail outlets, all of which will be consolidated into the FedEx business.

For customers, nothing changes and business continues as usual with no modification to points of contact or services. As integration progresses, customers in Mexico will have direct access to FedEx’s complete portfolio of domestic and international transportation and logistics solutions, allowing them to reach all the states of the Mexican Republic and more than 220 countries and territories worldwide.
