FedEx Express improves service ex Austria

 
Later pick-up times and expanded USA overnight service with FedEx Express

The new cargo flight on the connection Paris CDG – Vienna – Budapest and return, that was started by FedEx Express at the beginning of the week,  brings about numerous advantages for the Austrian business community. For inner-European transports pick-up times will improve by up to two hours. Shippers of cargo between 68 and 1.000 kg can now have their consignments delivered to the major cities on the American East Coast on the next workday. So far runtimes have been 2 days. These changes were announced by Bernhard Schloemer, managing director operations Central & Eastern Europe, at a press reception in Vienna.

In Central and Eastern Europe FedEx Express aims at the position of favoured express service provider. The new cargo flight from Budapest and Vienna to Paris CDG provides the basis. They offer four course pairs per week, which will substitute two feeders. The plane of choice is an Airbus A310-300-Freighter. The jet will load 40 tons of cargo per flight and as of immediate effect will also transports consignments with places of origin or destination in Slovakia.
