Fjord Line: New freight partnership with CLdN
CLdN gives Fjord Line’s cargo department interesting perspectives for expanded transport of cargo by sea in Europa.
The partnership with CLdN means that Fjord Line’s cargo department can now offer fast and cost efficient shipping to and from Zeebrugge, where there are frequent onward connections by sea to London (Purfleet) and Killingholme in the UK. Moreover, Fjord Line can offer transport of freight and cargo between Gothenburg in Sweden and Bergen, Stavanger and Langesund in Norway.
“Our partnership with CLdN starts an exciting chapter for expanded freight and cargo transport by sea between Norway and central European ports. We look forward to developing these new shipping solutions, and offering our current and future customers new and exciting possibilities”, says Rune Hetland, cargo manager in Fjord Line.
Fjord Line was established in 1993 in Egersund, Norway and has today around 600 employees. Their modern cruise ferries, MS Stavangerfjord (put in operation in 2013) and MS Bergensfjord (2014) service the routes between Bergen, Stavanger and Hirtshals, northern Denmark, and between Hirtshals and Langesund, in the Norvegian district of Telemark, with daily departures throughout the year.
