FlexLink year-end report 2008 published
FlexLink reports record sales in 2008 and significant increase in profitability The sales increased with 7% to 1 446 MSEK and the order intake was 1 412 MSEK. Net sales for the full year was 1 446 (1 346) MSEK which is a growth of 7%. Earnings before interest, taxes and amortization of intangible assets (EBITA) were 151 MSEK (88). The EBITA margin was 10% (7%). Adjusted for exceptional costs, the EBITA was 167 MSEK (125) and the adjusted EBITA margin 12% (9%). The order intake was particularly strong in the first half of 2008 resulting in strong sales and operating profit in the second half. As the business climate weakened gradually during the second half of the year, the order intake showed the same pattern. USA showed particularly strong sales growth during the year. Large orders were awarded from the Electronics, Health Care and Tissue segments. The partner sales channel showed significant increase in sales and number of partners. In May, the acquisition of Techne S.p.A. was completed. The X85 product platform launched in September 2007 exceeded high sales targets. Quelle: FlexLink AB Group |
