Follingsby Max gets planning approval

Highgrove Group has received planning approval to develop up to 2.5 million sq. ft of new high bay distribution and industrial accommodation in Gateshead in the North East to support distribution and logistics businesses seeking to expand operations.

The development will offer grade A specification B2 or B8 use units ranging between 200,000 sq. ft and 2,500,000 sq. ft. Unit specification includes up to 28 metre eaves height and 2- hour access, suitable for high-bay distribution and storage uses together with 24/7 access.

Work on the site has already begun and it is due to be ready by the end of 2018. “It will play a key part in supporting the region’s economic growth strategy and cement its reputation as the premier distribution park in the North East,” said leader of Gateshead council Cllr Martin Gannon.
