Gross EUR 9.61 per hour: Plans to introduce a regulation on minimum wages for foreign professional drivers in France

The Strasbourg Foreign Trade Center has announced that France intends to adopt a minimum wage-regulation for foreign professional drivers, like in Germany.

„This (SIMC 2015) will amount to EUR 9.61 gross/hour, or gross EUR 1457.52 per month on the basis of the 35 hour week,“ the working group of International Road Hauliers in Austria (AISÖ) writes in a press release.

In Germany, the application of the German minimum wage law on transit trips was suspended until clarification of its compatibility with EU legislation. However, it still needs to be clarified how the law will be applied in France, if it will be adopted.
